Dear Francesca,

Congratulations on your position with Glimmerglass Opera. I met you at HGO; I was David Gockley's tall, frizzy-blonde-haired projects administrator from 1984-1988.

I was born and raised in Cobleskill, N.Y., about 45 minutes from Cooperstown (over the mountain). As my family has a house there, I generally visit every summer for a few weeks.

I envy your being there year round! Again, congratulations!

Just heard the show while driving home and at the end when they sang an excerpt from "Oh Shining Night" (I think that was the title), I sat at a stop light with my mouth open.
I think the lady in the car next to me saw me say "Oh...My...God..." as I looked at the radio. I'm sure she wondered what I was listening to and I wish I could have rolled down the window and said, "This is so so beautiful..."
Had I been at home, it would have been a "driveway moment", for sure.
Thanks for the great Story.

Francesca

Since our introduction to you through our daughter Heather Davies in the UK in Napoleon, we have long admired your facility & passion in the music & theatre arts, and followed your career with great admiration. We are delighted with your position at Glimmerglass and know that you will continue to bring your passion & your soul to those who see your productions and especially those with whom you work and come in contact. Your speech was so moving and once again reafirms your positive love for your work, your talent in storytelling and our Heather's continued respect & praise.

With our very best regards
Lori
